Robert A. Vort Robert A. Vort is engaged in the general practice of law, specializing in civil litigation and arbitration before federal and state courts throughout the country and before administrative bodies. He has been designated by the Supreme Court of New Jersey as a certified civil trial attorney. His practice encompasses a wide variety of subject areas, ranging from complex corporate and commercial litigation to other civil matters including trade secret, wrongful discharge, probate litigation, securities arbitration and legal malpractice. Mr. Vort is also actively engaged in appellate practice in state and federal courts. Mr. Vort is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, before United States Courts of Appeals for the Second, Third, Fifth, Ninth and Federal Circuits, before the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and for the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York and before the United States Claims Court. He is also admitted to practice in the New Jersey courts. Mr. Vort is a member of the American Bar Association, New Jersey State Bar Association and Bergen County Bar Association. He is a member of the Litigation Section of the ABA and of the Appellate Practices Committee of that section. He is a member of the Appellate Practices Study Committee of the New Jersey Bar Association and a past chairman of the Equity Jurisprudence Committee of the Essex County Bar Association. He contributed several chapters to the New Jersey Appellate Practices Manual authored by Hon. Morton I. Greenberg of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, and he has also lectured on appellate practice for the New Jersey Institute for Continuing Legal Education. Mr. Vort received the Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1965 and the Juris Doctor degree from Columbia University in 1968.
